Good grams, hidden split

At roughly 12¢ per gram of collagen, it’s a competitive price for a research-level dose — better value per gram than many collagen powders, and far more collagen than a capsule product. The cost doesn’t fix two things our review flags: the five sources sit inside one “Multi Collagen Complex,” so you get the 20 g total but not the per-source split, and it contains egg and fish allergens. If disclosure and allergen-cleanliness matter more than maximum grams, the alternatives page covers the disclosed-label options.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Ancient Nutrition Multi Collagen cost?

About $28 for an unflavored tub up to ~$43 for flavored or brand-direct, roughly $2.33 a serving for a 20 g collagen dose — about 12¢ per gram of collagen, checked July 2026.

Is it good value for collagen?

On grams per dollar, yes — ~12¢ a gram for a research-level 20 g dose is competitive. The trade-offs are the proprietary “complex” (no per-source split) and egg/fish allergens, not the price.

Why is the unflavored version cheaper?

Unflavored tubs skip flavoring and sweetener costs and are often discounted at third-party retailers, making them the cheapest per gram of collagen. The formula is otherwise the same 20 g dose.
