The auto-ship and multi-bottle upsell
The lowest per-serving price is only unlocked by enrolling in auto-ship, and the funnel pushes 3- and 6-bottle orders with “best value” framing before you reach payment. That’s where the math gets slippery: the discount is real, but so is the recurring charge, and cancellation isn’t always frictionless — a recurring theme in the complaints record. If you buy, know which box you’re checking.
Cost versus the CFU you actually get
Here’s the honest reframe. Bio Complete 3 does not print its CFU count on the label — the figure (~2 billion CFU) is only obtainable by asking customer service, and it sits at the low end versus the 5–50 billion CFU disclosed on mainstream probiotics. The prebiotic fiber dose (~200–450 mg) is a fraction of the 5–10 g used in fiber studies. So you’re paying roughly $1.50–$2.33 a serving for two probiotic strains at an undisclosed, apparently low dose.
